CALMUS AUTOMATA is a new composing program for traditional and electronic instruments – developed by Kjartan Olafsson.
It is a realtime composing system controlled with inputs material from the composer through MIDI instruments and body gestures.
The system is based on artificial intelligence functions – for realtime (Iive) composing and performing.
This is the first experiment with CALMUS AUTOMATA – simultaneously composing, playing and recording 10 short pieces – in the cycle “PASSING PLANETS”.
